Hi and welcome here !
My name is Fanny ! I’m from Switzerland and I’ve been traveling around the world for almost 12 years. I traveled solo, with friends, with my family and in couple. In October 2023, my boyfriend and I decided to embarked on a world tour !!!
This decision inspired me to finally launched my own blog! I want to share my adventures and travel tips with you and show that you don’t need to be rich to experience incredible things around the world.
Here is a little bit more about myself
Since a kid I had the urge to travel the world. As a teenager I was spending most of my time on Google Earth. That was my way to explore unknown places. I made a list of these places I wanted to visit and now I’m ticking the boxes along my travels.
Before my 18 years old I’ve already taken any opportunities to visit cities around Europe. Once I finished high school I took a gap year and travelled around the world. It was the best year of my life !
Why my unique travel experiences will help you discovering authentic places
- I spent 4 months in Iceland as an au pair in an Icelandic family. Now I consider this country as my second home.
- I volunteered in Laos as an English teacher. I fell in love with the country and came back many times.
- I met a lot of friends during my travels and then went visiting their home town. I have the chance to have visited many places with locals. Hands down, that’s the best way to discover a place!
- In the other hand I invited most of my foreign friends in Switzerland! I’m pretty a good guide of my home country now.
In 2020, I met my boyfriend and we started to explore the world together. We’ve just finished travelling for a year around the globe and we achieved to explore some of our dreamy’s itineraries.
I hope this blog will help you plan trips and inspire you to discover the world in an authentic way. For me mindful and authentic travel are really important. It is essential to be respectful of the cultures and the people. I also value a lot to help and promote local businesses. I eat a lot in local restaurants and try to book tours with local guides.
